The issue is one of approach and method, not software.
I saw the same problem in a seminar recently where the data was analysed
by hand.
They counted the occurrences of key words in presidential addresses from
the American Sociological Association and from the American Political
Science Association (or what ever it is called). They found that political
scientists talk about politics and sociologists talk about society. Mmm.
Then tere was a set of words that both used.
I wanted an analysis of the meanings, the use of argument, the structure of
reasoning, even the politics of the time, but no, this was all too complex,
let's just count the words!
If only life were that simple!
