I doubt that the time expiration strategy is any protection at all. You
simply set back the date before starting the program manually or use an
utility like DKILL which automatically sets and resets the date when a
particular expired program is launched.
So we have to think of other ways to solve the conflict between
authors/developers/distributors who must to have their intellectual and
other investments returned and users who would love to get it for free...
(of course, I am both a developer and a user!-)
