Try http://www.nlm.nih.gov/research/visible/visible_human.html - fascinating project doing 1mm slices through male and female bodies, lots of links to projects using the data.

Subject: CAT tissue data???
Sorry, folks, for a posting which is probably off-topic,
but it's possible some of you may know where to point me to.
In these days of CAT scans, it is possible and therefore presumably
someone has done it, to generate a series of transverse cross-sectional
images of the body and, for each cross section, to estimate the amount
of space occupied by, say, the following main categories of material:
gas
liquid
bone
meat
fat
I would be interested to learn of any reasonably good source of such data
if publicly available.
Can anyone help?
With thanks,
Ted.
