JOB OPPORTUNITY WITH EARL
Would you like to help establish the New Library network?
EARL, the Consortium for Public Library Networking is seeking a lively,
hardworking and enterprising person to join its team based in London.
You will contribute to the web-based services being developed by the
Consortium and to the support of EARL's 150 library authority partners on
matters of public library networking, including current awareness and
workshops.
You will have excellent Internet, web-authoring, communication, and
organisational skills, an interest in and understanding of public library
networking issues, a library and information science qualification or
equivalent experience, and be able to work as part of a small team, often
to tight deadlines.
The post would suit a recent LIS graduate or student expecting to graduate
soon, and would also be suitable as a secondment. A one-year, fixed-term
contract will be available in the first instance, to start as soon as
possible, with a salary of c. stlg 14,000 upwards, negotiable depending of
experience.
