Dewey for Windows, the CD-ROM version of the 21st edition of the Dewey
Decimal Classification, first appeared in 1996, and was up graded in 1997.
How will this event help you?
This workshop will:
* provide a detailed introduction to the features of Dewey for Windows
* give you the opportunity to use the CD-ROM to classify by Dewey.
By the end of the day you will have:
* received a general overview of Dewey for Windows and how it is used
* gained an understanding of how the CD-ROM differs from the print
edition
* been shown how version 1.1 differs from the original version
* had experience in using Dewey for Windows to classify a wide range
of titles.
Who will benefit from attending?
If you apply, teach or use Dewey and are thinking of changing to Dewey for
Windows or want to know more about it, this workshop will be ideal.
If you have already purchased the product, this workshop will help you to
use it efficiently and effectively.
Do you need previous experience?
Some prior knowledge of both Dewey and Windows is recommended to gain
maximum advantage.
