The National Group on Consortium Purchasing in Academic Libraries (NGCPAL)
announces the second national conference on Managing the Marketplace. The
conference will be held in Manchester on 22 and 23 June 1999.
It will be of interest to all involved in the procurement process on behalf
of libraries - academic, public, health and others. It is NOT open to
suppliers.
The papers represent research in progress or recently completed, and the
experience of leading practitioners. There will be ample opportunity for
discussion and contact with fellow librarians and purchasing professionals.
The conference aims only to break even; the indicative cost for residential
delegates is £150.
