Hello All,
Has anyone done any research into the value of Web Rings for
public/enquiry searching?
For the uninitiated this is a new phenomenon whereby Websites of a
similar interest/topic all link together. (The ring master will supply
relevant html code for navigation around the ring). There is a
particularly good one on Lord Byron for example which links biog,
history, e-texts, discussion sites all together. This has the advantage
over traditional Search Engines in that you always get sites that
interest you.
There is a directory of existing Rings at http://www.webring.org/ which
looks a bit Yahoo and has Business, Culture, etc categories listed. Many
of the sites, however, appeal to your "All American Teenager."
Has anyone in Europe compiled such a Site?
Thanks,
