> Applications are invited for the post of Lecturer (Non-Clinical) in
> Social Sciences applied to Medicine, which is available for three
> years. The post offers the opportunity to join an active and broadly
> based Epidemiology and Public Health Department. The successful
> applicant will be responsible for the delivery of the core medical
> sociology module in the undergraduate medical curriculum, may
> contribute to other undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, and will
> be expected to undertake high quality research in areas of social
> science which link with existing Departmental research interests, as
> well as developing their personal research interests. Ability to

> The Post

> The Lecturer will be required to contribute to the teaching and

> Teaching

> 1. Deliver the medical sociology module of the undergraduate medical
> course. This will involve curriculum development, lecturing, small
> group tutoring, supervision of projects, student support, examining,

> 2. Contribute to other Modules in the undergraduate curriculum that
> have social and behavioural science elements, and supervise
> undergraduate research projects.

> It is a requirement that all members of the teaching faculty undertake
