It took a hundred years for a car to evolve from a motorized horse drawn
carriage without horses to what it now is. That doesn't make one very optimistic
considering the state-of-the-art of cars.
OTOH, I still remain optimistic that an easy to drive car for the innocent DC
user would be possible; it would have automatic transmission, runs on all kinds
of fuels, will get you everywhere etc.
I would rather go for that option than for an option where a drivers licence
would be required.
And yes, I know that the minimalist-structuralist discussion is in the DC
archives as well.
