In the context of the debate about "rules" where to put names, either in
DC.Creator or DC.Contributor, remarked that DC.Creator seems to stem from the
library practise to distinguish between main entry and other entries in a card
catalog. I was wondering whether we could avoid having "rules" for that by
conflating DC.Creator and DC.Contributor in one element, since they are likely
be indexed in one index anyhow.

You must realize, that most metadata on the Web will not be created by
librarians.
