Well, but where are those even simpler rules? Presently the only rule I see
is the one to use the "lastname, firstname" convention. Is that considered
enough?
Or are you saying we should neglect consistency altogether since it is not
attainable anyway?
OTOH: The observation of a gross lack of consistency in search engine
databases was what initiated the DC movement, or so I believe, because you
get too much irrelevant stuff and cannot be sure to have hit most of
the relevant stuff.
