Hi all :-) :-) :-)
Just to add some more *academic* input to my previous *academic* posting
;-)
Here is something that is happening.

I am doing a trial comparing all major types of antidepressant and I
have recruited fifty patients so far This study seems to bear out a new
theory that these two classes of antidepressant (TCAs and SSRIs) have
different benefits in different sorts of depression. If anyone is
interested or wants to help see the www.mdintranet.org.uk site under the
TORCHE button for more details or contact me directly. This is dead
simple GP friendly research that could change the quality of our
prescribing and our randomised community studies methodology could be
applied in many other areas.

So it looks like some GPs are addressing the important issues :-)
PS Has anyone seen my wallet? ;-)
