Yes, it was oxen which determined the burial-place of St Walstan of Bawburgh, in fact his
own loyal plough-team, but in this case it meant that they had to build a new stone church
instead of the old wooden one, which the oxen had walked straight through. Also holy wells
sprung up wherever the oxen paused on their journey. It is all very close to here, and the well
still there.
