I have resumed work on a mystery novel I had done some research on a few years ago and still have some nagging questions I have not been able to find answers to.
Directly relevant to this list: Is there anything published since 1987 on the kanonissengeschiften at Gandersheim for the period from its foundation to ca.910 that I should look at? Preferably in Eng
I do have a personal copy of Jo Ann Kay McNamara's Sisters in Arms and have referred to it often. Since I am not an academic and have not lived in convenient distance of a decent college library sinc
I do know about InterLibrary Loan and have used it, but money is a consideration. (In my state, I have to pay the postage each way and money has been scarce.)

There is a recent summary of work on this by Michel Parisse, 'Die
Frauenstifte und Frauenklo"ster in Sachsen vom 10. bis zur Mitte des
12. Jahrhunderts', in Die Salier und das Reich, ed. S. Weinfurter
with H. Seibert, 3 vols., Sigmaringen 1992, vol. ii. There
is other recent work, some of it also by Parisse, but I'm afraid I
don't have access to the titles at the moment. The article I have
mentioned lists quite a few other things in its footnotes.
Best wishes
Julia Barrow
