.. and rather than deeming treatments to be evidence-based, we reported the
proportion that were based on randomised evidence and commented on the quality
of that evidence. As Trish Greenhalgh has pointed out ( Is my practice
evidence-based? BMJ, 1996.), you'd really need to meet quite a few other
criteria to say that your practice was unequivocally evidence-based.
But, having said that, we found randomised evidence for 65% of the primary
psychiatric interventions.
