Mmm, but what *I* want is the ability to tap a Vancouver-style reference
in to my Web browser and have the paper (maybe we'd better find another
word for it) come up on my screen within 15 seconds or so. I'm sure that
I don't need to expand upon the advantages of such a system. Even the
BMJ (praise be upon them for free and registration-free access) don't
quite offer this yet.
While there would still be plenty for librarians to do, some might feel
quite threatened in the short term!
