Dear Steve,
"Oriente iam sole", a St. Wenceslaus Legend, tells us (cap. 25): "Accidit eciam in provincia Ustensi Pragensis provincie, ut quedam infantula, nondum sacri baptismatis fonte regenerata, sed tantum cathecumina moreretur effecta; hec in cathecismo Wenceslawa fuerat nominata. (...)" According to this (a) "cathecumina" means simply that the child was as yet unbaptized, (b) "Wenceslawa" is a "personal" name in contrary to "christian" name.
