As usual, Patrick, I can't help with specifics, but this and previous strings
involving canons made me think of a possible helpful source which I once used
which has yet to be noted on this list.
It is a question of the publication of papers delivered at one of the annual
conferences (Spolato???) in the late '50's (??)-early '60's (??). The topic
that year was "chanoines regulaires" or some such and I had interlibrary loan
copies of a few of the articles, perhaps on the Victorines (part of my
interest at the time). Bibliographies in one of
Jean Chatillon's beautiful editions--or notes in one of Grover Zinn's
articles--might put you on to the exact reference.
Assuming that I didn't hallucinate the whole thing (it was in 1969, after all,
that I saw these, so anything is possible).
Alternatively, tedious though it would be, how about going through the yearly
bibliographies in the Cahiers de civilisation medieval and/or the Revue
d'histoire ecclesiastique, looking under, perhaps, "chanoines"??
Sorry I can't put my hand on the exact refs. for you, but I'm in sunny
California for the duration.
Say, it's not cold, there in Indiana, is it? (heh, heh, heh)
Best from here,
Christopher
