A few months ago I put out a request on SSBMA for
folks to send me online work they were doing on the
subject of the Bible in the MA for an online
bibliography I am putting together. Several folks
did so. I was about ready to go live with the first
version when I moved to a new state and city.
Unfortunately for me, neither my computer nor other
electronic equipment made it: they're lost. *SIGH*
But it is also an opportunity to reconceive the page.
So let me state what I'm putting together. It is an
online bibliography on the subject of the Bible in
the MA. It will focus on online resources but by no
means be limited to online resources. Further I have
no intention of reinventing things. Several folks
out there have done web pages based either on their
courses or have done pages based on people or
subjects that would fall under this umbrella. They
have of course included bibliography. My intention
is simply to point people to that web page and note
who the author of the page is, the subject matter,
and whether there is additional bibliography.
The construction of the page looked like this:
Online Resources
Here I listed all the sites there were either emailed
to me or that I discovered with short notes. I tried
to keep this somewhat structured into:
General
Manuscripts and Palaegraphy
Commentataries and Commentators
Sermons and Liturgy
Role of the Bible
Other
Print Bibliography
I kept the same structure as above.
So at this point, since I'm starting from scratch, I
am inviting those kind enough to have emailed me
their pages previously to please do so again, and
anyone else who knows of a page, has done work on a
page, or has seen one to email me as well. Also any
comments on the structure of the page would be
welcome as well. And finally, books and articles are
needed and desired as well.
And before any kind soul tells me I should have
backed up, I did. Twice. The company that moved me
lost my computer, monitor, zip drives, scanner,
printer, boxes with disks and backups, and a box of
books. Act of God perhaps? GRR.
Anyway, thank you all for your time, and anticipated
responses.
