Hello all!
Through a cooperative agreement, the U.S. EPA and NSF International
have partnered to conduct the Environmental Technology Verification
(ETV) program for Wet-Weather Flow (WWF) Technologies. Currently,
there are 12 pilot projects underway in the WWF ETV program, which
will make objective and independent assessments of commercially
available technology available to all parties in the WWF technology
marketplace.
As a part of the WWF modeling pilot project, we intend to create a
comprehensive list of model capabilities/features to be considered in
development of a protocol to verify models. The models considered are
limited to "landside" models that include urban runoff, collection
systems, treatment, and disposal.
Based on your modeling experience, I am asking you to recommend
standard capabilites/features in the models you have worked with. A
few potential standard features are provided below as examples.
-Y2K Compliance
-Windows/ DOS-based application
-User Friendliness
-Input/ Output Interface
-Background Pictures
-Sensitivity Analysis
The input from you will be very valuable in developing a protocol to
assure all modelers that commercial models do what they are intended
to.
Thanks in advance for your time and suggestions.
