Watt University, also in Edinburgh, where I will be taking up a new post as
Professor of Physical Chemistry. A postdoc position and 2 PhD studentships
will become available at Heriot-Watt. The expanded group will occupy newly
refurbished lab space, housing my continuing activities in chemical reaction
dynamics and collisional energy transfer and with ample scope for new
developments.

You will join the group of Professor Kenneth McKendrick, who will take
up the new post of Chair of Physical Chemistry from 1 January 2000. This
is an exciting opportunity to contribute to existing projects investigating the
dynamics of state-to-state chemical reactivity and collisional energy transfer,
and to be actively involved in the development of new lines of research. The
post is available for 2 years.
You should have a PhD in Physical Chemistry / Chemical Physics and
ideally have a background in the field of reaction dynamics and experience
in the use of pulsed laser systems.
