RESEARCH OPPORTUNITIES AT UNIVERSITY COLLEGE LONDON
Fully funded 3-year research studentships available for studies leading
to a PhD degree are available to talented students to pursue
postgraduate research at University College London in ATOMIC,
MOLECULAR AND POSITRON PHYSICS. Both experimental and theoretical projects
are available.
UCL is consistently ranked as one of the top UK institutions for research.
It has one of the country's largest Physics and Astronomy departments,
which received a "5" rating in the most recent Research Assessment Exercise.
Funding sources vary for these studentships. Some are available,
fully funded, for any any suitably qualified European Union
national.Others will only provide full funding for UK nationals.
The studentships start by October 1999, an earlier start may be
possible in some cases.
Grants will be at the standard UK EPSRC studentship rate, including
London allowance. Applicants must have or be about to receive a good
degree in Physics, Chemistry, Applied Maths or a related discipline.
