There isn't much in print that I know of, apart from a slim volume by Perkins.
There are a few magazine articles worth hunting down:
"The Builder" 30 August 1862
"The Builder" 13 & 20 April 1895 - this one is good on the geology
"The Stone Trades Journal" Feb 1931
These are all available from BL at Colindale.
There is a small Industrial archaeology/heritage museum in Bath, plus one
of the mines in Corsham has been/was being turned into a museum - the
curator, David Pollard, was kind enough to give me a guided tour of part of
the workings about 15 years ago (long before it opened).
The Bath & Portland Stone Firms Ltd still exists, as part of the Kingston
Minerals group, though were not at all helpful when I approached then last.
Good luck.
