Congratulations - Enjoy!
I wonder how many midwives have been watching the series of programmes on
twins presented by Prof. Winston on the BBC? Being an identical twin I have,
but I have been quite disappointed by what I thought was fairly superficial
and pretty stereotypical images of twins. Of course, we are different - I
suppose most people can recognise themselves on photographs whereas I have a
few of us as children and I don't know which one I am and which one she is -
but are we that weird??? I hope not! I don't know her thoughts, I don't
feel her toothaches, she did not feel my contractions... but of course we are
different!
It is fun when only three years ago, a little boy stopped me in the centre of
Brussels (that's where I come from) and said "Bonjour" and I replied, and he
said it again, more intensely and I replied again and then he said it again
"Mais bonjour" and then it clicked that he thought I was my sister who has a
little boy at school with this little chap. And I told him that he thought I
was the mother of Gilles, but I was not, I was her sister! That was fun!
Sorry to get off the point of this List, but could not resist.
