Dear Jo Alexander,
An excellent, quality review article was published in BIRTH
1993;20(2):79-85, on "Immersion in Water During Labor and Birth: The Need
for Evaluation," by Rona McCandlish and Mary Renfrew. Another recent
article about water baths in labor and infection by Robertson et al, OBSTET
GYNECOL 1998;178:1215-1221 should be useful. Another randomised prospective
study is by Eriksson et al in the British journal MIDWIFERY
1997:13:146-148.
Hope these help.
Sincerely, Diony
