Colleagues,
I am asking if anyone can let me have details of any recent
experience with the establishment of a converged
library/computing service enquiry/information desk.
We are currently planning to introduce such a facility
within our main library building. Our Library and Computing
Services are not converged, but the library building
currently houses one of several of our Computing Services'
dispersed workstation clusters. This particular facility is
being extended, and will include an enquiry desk staffed by
both services as part of the enhanced provision.
I would be grateful for any practical advice, and to know
of any possible pitfalls....
