ASSOCIATE LIBRARIAN

University College Dublin Library is currently engaged in a major staff
restructuring exercise to expand and develop services in line with the
University’s vision of enhancing the learning and research environment.
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates for the above
post at senior management level.
The post will carry responsibility for the overall management,
development and co-ordination of Library operations and systems, with
a particular focus on the strategic management, integration and
development of operations and services and their computing and
networking infrastructures. In addition, the appointee will play a major
role in strategic development, in exercising leadership in the management
of change, and in integrating library services within the academic
environment.
Applicants should possess considerable relevant experience, good
managerial and communication skills, and a postgraduate qualification in
library and information studies; they should also possess an innovative
approach to problem solving and a flexible and adaptable attitude
towards their role.
Salary scale: IR£35,188 – IR£49,690 (permanent – new entrants)
