The British Library has the Spanish official gazette at least until
1993 (OGS 290/3).
We also have the Boletín oficial of the País Vasco (OGS 381) from 1988
until date.
Official pubs. of the autonomy of the País Vasco are generally
bilingual.
The BL newspaper library takes El País, but not El mundo; it also
takes Deia from the Basque region and has some issues of Egin.
There are also a small no. of possibly relevant monographs on the BL's
current catalogue (http://opac97.bl.uk).
Libraries worth consulting in the País Vasco are the government
library in Vitoria and the excellent library of the Fundación Sancho
el Sabio in the same city.
Hope this helps

Dear List-members,
One of our postgraduate students is doing some research into the Basque
Country's policy on the European Union and, specifically, is trying to
locate holdings of the following at least as far back as the late 1980s
and preferably, earlier than that:
El pais
El mundo
Boletin Oficial del Estado.
I've looked on the WWW but, as I expected, can only find recent issues
of these so need to resort to the more traditional formats. She is also
interested in looking at any government department publications on the
regional policy etc. (They would, however, need to be in Castilian.)
I would be very grateful for any pointers in the right direction.
Yours,
Emer Stubbs (Mrs.)
