Dear colleagues,
The Royal Astronomical Society invites nominations for the 1999
RAS-Blackwell Prize (1000 pounds), which is awarded for the best doctoral
thesis in:
Exploration Geophysics,
Physics of the Earth's Atmosphere, Ionosphere or Magnetosphere,
Planetary Physics,
Solar Physics or
Solid Earth Geophysics.
The prize is is open to students of all nationalities registered at
Universities in the United Kingdom who submitted a thesis to a University in
the United Kingdom and that thesis was examined in the academic year 1st
October 1998 to 30th September 1999.
Nominations should be made by student's examiner or supervisor - before 31
