The Centre for Research into Film, based in the School, has secured an
AHRB funded project researching film versions of the Carmen story.
Initially, to research sources, you will need to travel to Paris,
Madrid and the USA, requiring good Spanish and interpersonal skills.
The ability to read French and/or German would be advantageous.
Computing and organisational skills are also required to catalogue and
present the data. You should also hold a postgraduate qualification in
Film Studies, preferably a PhD. The appointment is tenable for three
years, commencing on 1 September 1999.
