Apologies to Artaud but before we go any further did anybody except Ian
Davidson actually LIKE the poem or thought it worth time of day . I find
the fact that only two people (Ian & Allison) have even mentioned the actual
poem a bit disturbing. I've had to sit and listen to a lot (and lauded)
mediocre poetry and also a lot of knock out poetry in my time and I think
I've got a rough idea of what is throw-away and what is special. I thought
the poem special otherwise I wouldn't have bothered sharing it. I'm not
that bloody daft.
. But if everybody else thought the poem just a sweet little nonny from a
nine year old what we talking about? It's just a talking point. I'm not
curry comments for the poem (Gawd I wish I'd never put he bugger on) but it
does sometimes seems that the origins (the poem the song the beautifully
oiled car) get intellectually hijacked and leaves the stuff or staff of life
flailing in the abyss. Carry on talking. I'm bowing out on this one.
