I just came across the following, which I thought may be of interest to
some of the members of this list.
The Italian record label Alga Marchen has just released Poèmes
Lettristes 1944-1999 by Isidore Isou, which I believe is the first
recording of his work ever issued. It consists mainly of Isou performing
his own work and also features François Dufrêne reading some of Isou's
work.
They've also released L'Anticoncept by former lettrist Gil J Wolman,
which again is said to be the first recording of his work released. It
consists of three mégapneumies (apparently what he called his
post-lettrist work) and five excerpts from the soundtrack of his film
L'Anticoncept.
Both are released on vinyl only, unfortunately. They're available in the
US through Forced Exposure (htttp://www.forcedexposure.com). I haven't a
clue where they can be obtained in the UK.
I only know Wolman as something of a footnote in books on the
Situationist International, so if anyone can tell me more or point me in
the right direction, I'd be grateful.
Anyone interested in more on lettrism could try

Nigel
