If Mr Teichman's question is asked in all seriousness, I am confused by his
last line
|Or perhaps I am
| missing some sublime camp irony here
because that sounds to me like a sneer in advance of hearing what it is
sneering at
I shall leave it to others who know Andrea's work better and who perhaps
have more energy than I for this sort of thing to answer if they feel
inclined.
My concern is the phrase "the current a-g". What does that mean? (I suspect
it stands for "current avant-garde", but what does it mean?)
In my experience, it is, at least nowadays, *always a waffle phrase, often
applied to that which the user wishes to deride.
So, Mr Teichman, some indication of what you mean by it, would be
appreciated. And perhaps a couple of indicative lists of those who are and
are not within "the current a-g", in your opinion, so that I can understand
you.
Thanks
