The following positions are based in our Planning Office which
formulates, implements and evaluates corporate policy, strategy,
information needs and the performance of the University.
Senior Planning Officer £22,583 - £25,352 - Ref: NT/298
Responsible for initiating, directing and co-ordinating work, you will
prepare and present reports and papers, setting out analyses and policy
options. Responsible for promoting policy development, you will research
and analyse the factors that have a strategic impact on the University
and its achievement of the Mission Statement. Educated to first degree
level, you will have experience in a HE or related environment, be able
to work at Academic/University Board level and possess good research and
analytical skills. Excellent interpersonal skills and flexibility is
essential, as you will supervise and work as part of a team, often under
pressure, handling a wide range of complex issues. A high level of IT
and written skills are required.
Planning Officer - 2 Posts £17,125 - £22,118
Ref: NT/299 (permanent post) NT/300 (fixed term two years)
Supporting the service with research, analysis, reports and development
forecasts, you will undertake a wide range of tasks. One post will be
primarily concerned with managing databases and statistical returns to
external bodies, whilst the other will support bidding to external
funding sources such as Government Agencies. Educated with a first
degree or equivalent experiential learning, you will be numerate,
computer literate and able to pay close attention to detail. Your strong
communication skills will be complemented by a proactive and motivated
approach.
