Dear Colleagues,
These days, I was surprised to hear from a colleague that adenosine
deaminase activity in serum and pleural fluid (if material is available)
would be useful to exclude/confirm tuberculosis.
Considering that tuberculosis is about to come back (if not arrived
already), I should ask you about the clinical usefulness of this
analysis. Do any of you perform this test on a regular basis? Are there
protocols for routine application?
