1. Qualifications: Applicants should hold a PhD in any area of
applied or theoretical statistics. Postdoctoral experience is
highly desirable and preference will be given to candidates with
established research records. Teaching experience at the tertiary
level, including a demonstrated ability to teach large classes,
is desirable. Aptitude or experience in using the World Wide Web
for the enhancement of teaching and learning, and a willingness
to take an active role in the Department's flexible delivery
program, will be well regarded.
2. Duties: The successful applicant will be required to teach in
the Department's undergraduate and postgraduate programs, to
provide doctoral and honours supervision in appropriate areas,
and to maintain a strong research record. The appointee can
expect a lower than average teaching load during the first three
years of their appointment.
3. Salary: The salary range is: Lecturer (Level B) A$48,327-
$57,388 per annum; Senior Lecturer (Level C) A$59,201 - $68,262
per annum plus 17% employer superannuation contribution.
Relocation and travel assistance will be provided.
4. Date of Taking up Duty: The appointee will be expected to take
up duty as possible on a date to be agreed with the University.
5. Method of Application: The University requires nine [9] copies
