CoFHE Millennium Conference - Call for papers
Dear Colleagues,
Apologies if you receive more than one copy of this message.
The Colleges of Further and Higher Education (CoFHE) Group of The
Library Association is organising their annual study conference for
2000. The conference is to be held from 17th to 20th April 2000 in
Cardiff, Wales, UK.
The three full days of the conference each have a theme:
Monday 17 April 2000 - Regionalism
Tuesday 18 April 2000 - Professional Partnerships
Wednesday 19 April 2000 - Organisational Partnerships
Each day will consider the impact of the above topics for library and
learning resource service provision in further education and sixth form
colleges, higher education institutions and universities.
The Conference offers an excellent opportunity for Institutions to
showcase projects they are involved in to colleagues and to share ideas
on the above topics.
We would like to invite Library and Information Science colleagues to
offer papers and workshops on aspects related to any of the three
themes. Please email a brief summary of your paper or workshop to Lee
Bryant (Member of the Conference Planning Team.
[log in to unmask]) by 29 October 1999.
Conference Papers should be 40 and 45 minutes in duration. A further 15
minutes is timetabled for questions and comments from members of the
audience. Workshops should be 60 minutes in duration and should aim to
include extensive delegate interaction and participation.
A selection of the papers will be published within The CoFHE Bulletin
and also through the CoFHE Web Pages
(http://www.la-hq.org.uk/groups/cofhe/cofhe.html).
Many thanks for your kind attention to this request.
Lee Bryant
