We provide a service for steroid sulphatase for the
diagnosis of X-linked ichthyosis - sample requirements are
5ml EDTA blood. The sample can be sent by first class post
- ideally we like to receive the sample within 48 hours of
venepuncture. Please send samples to Dr Janet Stone
Biochemistry Department, Bristol Royal Infirmary,
Marlborough Street, Bristol BS2 8HW.
Results are available within 5 working days of sample
receipt.
