Have a look at http://www.iinet.net.au/~bill/java/ basically I have taken a few common calculations and made little calculators out of them so the user can enter the data and get the result.
Feel free to use them on your intranet if you think they might be useful (of couse assuming you will have a browser based system). If you would like some others done just let me know and I will give it a go. [...]39_18Feb199920:23:[log in to unmask]

I have done some of these and they can be used on-line at the ACB Web Site (see Capsules). I'll also make them available to download. They are hypertext documents so should be useable on PCs and Macs.
There is also a Medical Algorithms project which is very comprehensive. I can't remember the URL, but soneone else might know it or you could try Yahoo. [...][log in to unmask]
8211 25 14_synovial fluid12_PETER [log in to unmask], 18 Feb 1999 14:41:05 -0000431_- A lady who recently has had surgery for varicose veins has developed a swelling below the knee. The surgeon wants to know whether the fluid drained from the swelling is synovial fluid or not. Does anybody have any ideas? I thought viscosity may help, but what's the expected range in normal fluid?

Good luck

Bring out your READ Codes.
Part of the GP Links project here in the UK is to update the Bounded List of Read Codes for Pathology tests. This is a list of authorised codes which will be supported centrally.
We know that this list is incomplete and that many of you have invented your own. If you have, wherever you are in the world, please let me know. We need to identify these tests and incorporate them into the next Bounded List. [...][log in to unmask] |
