POSTDOCTORAL ASSOCIATE IN GPS GEODYNAMICS
Indiana University Department of Geological Sciences announces a one-year
research position in the field of crustal deformation studies. We
are seeking a capable research geophysicist or geodesist with interests in
analysis of Global Positioning System (GPS) measurements of crustal
deformation. The scientist will become part of an active research group
involved in seismological, volcanological and geodetic research in the
Philippines, Tien Shan and Caucasus mountains of Central Asia, and the
U.S. midcontinent. Requirements include a Ph.D. degree in geophysics
or geodesy and experience with GPS data processing algorithms. Preference
will be given to candidates with strong computational skills, experience
in modelling of crustal deformation, and willingness to participate in
field work. The appointment is for one year, with reappointment subject
to available funding.
