I'm not sure where the idea came from that the SCGRG had been
especially instructed to hold fewer sessions at the IBG-RGS Annual
Conference. We are in exactly the same position as any other
research group regarding numbers of sessions (though this is pretty
weird given the sheer size and range of the group).
We do have problems, though, and I would urge people to attend the
AGM this year, especially people who are willing to stand for
Committee and even more especially someone who belongs to (or is
willing to join) the RGS who is willing to be Chair.
