Dear Zdenek, dear other listmembers,
on a wonderful little colloquium about book and scripture in medieval women monasteries, we had in Ebstorf
the weekend before, we heard a very interesting paper of Gia Toussaint about a manuscript made for abbess
Kunigunde (+ 1321), abbess of st.Georges-monastery, Prague.
I think I have read somewhere, that the abbesses of this monastery had a specific role by the coronation of
the Czech king. That would be very interesting for the interpretation of the dedication-picture of the book. But
I can t remember, where I read it.
If somebody of you could check this idea and has some literature, I would be very glad!
Best regards
