I'm sure some of you can help me. Where can I get microfilms of early
printed books? Of course, I could ask a library to produce such a
film, but the costs are usually much higher than for a duplicate of
an existing film. Also, I would suppose that it would take much
longer if the films have to be produced the first time round.
Answer:
A monastery in the Doetichem, the Netherlands, reproduces a great
number of early prints in microfiche form. They are called
"Microlibrary Slangenburg Abbey".
The address is Abdijlaan 1, 7004 JL Doetichem, NL. The catalogue is
worth reading for its own sake!
