hello,
in an essay i was working on concerning Beartice of Nazareth i discovered
some very interesting "revisionist psychotherapy".
My projet was to liberate B's theology from the author of the Vita(as
translated by R. De Gank)
Well I found two very interesting articles by the same authors that tried
to explain B's behaviour for very different audiences.
Kroll, Jerome and Roger De Gank. "The adolescence of a thirteenth century
visionary nun." Psychological Medicine 16(1986):745-756.
"Beatrice of Nazareth:Psychiatric Perspectives on a Medieval
Mystic." Cistercian Studies 24(1989):301-323.
Basically it is the same article written three years later. If any one
would like i could relay my observations. for this paper i too was
interested in "holy feast, holy fast" but didn't end up using it.
bests,
