Further to the postings on this topic - and btw I think Kevin Harris
makes exactly the points I would have made myself about the value of
ICTs - I look forward to John's summary of the points made.
Howeversomuch they may be relevant and helpful to John, I think the
point of our list is to air exchange debate and argue about current
issues (and this was originally limited to internet ones). We should
have a lively debate about the issues raised by John - and all
subscribers should I think post responses to the whole list in order to
generate the real interaction which this lovely technology gives us. I
am sure a paper on Public Internet Charging may have some use for the
democratic processes in the Town Hall - but please lets get cute and
make some noise first!
