Some time ago, I asked for information on this suject and received lots
of infomation, help and encouragement as a result. Most of the replies
came by phone rather than back to this list. Thank you to everyone. I
have attached the guidelines we are about to use, in case anyone can
adapt them for their own use. We are intending single-library groups
with wide membership, operating fairly independently from their
libraries. I would also like to recommend a publication. Friends of
