It would seem that, assuming my chap has only one risk factor, For every
hundred treated i would save 5 strokes (NNT 21) but cause two bleeds NNH
50.
The NNH cannot be standard across all age groups. my instincts tell me
that as age >>80 the NNH falls. I can't find any studies to help me with
this bit!
I found the extra commentary on how you communicate this to the patient
very interesting indeed and has sparked many ideas of my own - thank you
