Sudheer,
>What differences do you envisage?
Without the luxury of knowing the patient, locums might be more
disciplined in their approach to questioning - looking for
quicker outcomes - not give a damn because they are going to be
somewhere else next week
>From my viewpoint, some patients at some surgeries actually prefer
to see a locum.
Comments like "The locum doctor asked me questions, my doctor doesn't"
"The locum took me seriously and arranged a referral, my Dr's been
telling me to wait and see how it goes for a year"
Because I am I locum pharmacist, I feel that I tend to be more rational in
my
questioning than many pharmacists. I suspect that it's BECAUSE I don't
know the patient and don't have preconceived ideas about what is wrong with
them (or it might just be the end result of an OU course in
Professional Judgement!)
Just a thought.
