I'm sure I will be better served asking this question in a different forum
than Medieval-Religion, and have been meaning to, but since it's come up
here....
I have been researching the life of Catherine of Valois, consort of Henry V
of England, and have found in less-than scholarly sources that she evidently
died of breast cancer. I haven't pursued the evidence for this just yet,
but if anyone knows a good place to look for that sort of evidence, or
perhaps a history of medicine source that might discuss just how much is
known about cancer in a medieval context, I would be most appreciative.
Since this is off the beaten track of this list, please feel free to respond
off-list at my address below.
