The Stuttgart Vulgate (ed. Fischer/Weber) is a critical edition of
Jerome's Vulgate based on the manuscripts, (although, as the very clear
Preface points out, not all of the text is Jerome's work).
The Clementine Vulgate, published in 1592 by Pope Clement VIII, is readily
available in a Biblioteca de Autores Cristianos volume (ed.
Colunga/Turrado). It lacks a critical apparatus, but is punctuated, which
can occasionally be handy, and as Longere points out in La predication
medievale (p. 180), since the Clementine text is based on the 13th-century
Parisian version, it retains some value for medievalists.
The Nova Vulgata, however, is a modern Latin translation and not of use
for medieval studies.
